Share a Smile
In honor of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month Shawn Achor and I are giving away ten copies of our children’s book Ripple’s Effect, published by Little Pickle Press.
It takes big actions to make big changes. Or does it? In Ripple’s Effect, residents of an aquarium learn that sometimes a smile is all it takes to make a world of difference. Awash with charming illustrations, this delightful tale will show children that happiness is a choice they get to make for themselves.
All month long, you (and your students) can participate in anti-bullying behaviors such as those listed on the National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month website, like:
- Create positive messages on post-its and hand them out to students at school
- Do an act of kindness every day and challenge others to do the same
Or two of our favorite (and easy) activities to spread happiness are:
- Create a gratitude wall and help others think of things they are thankful for
- Try the smile experiment
To Enter the Contest:
Take a photo of your effort and then share it on social media with the hash tag #RipplesEffect (note the s) on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram through November 15th, after which we will pick 10 winners to receive copies of Ripple’s Effect.
Rules:
Enter through November 15th. Post as many photos as you’d like to spread the messages you’re creating, but we will count one entry per person. Please share them throughout social media land on various channels, but again, we will count it as one entry per person.
We would love for the winners to post and share a photo of themselves holding Ripple’s Effect once they receive their copy, but we are not going to make you do it.
Your address and email will become part of the GoodThink database, which means you’ll be subscribed to our newsletter, but you may unsubscribe at any time.
